Located in Collingswood, New Jersey, Porch and Proper is a place to celebrate the love of food, good company, and warm hospitality. Our focus is to bring our guests a contemporary and ever-changing menu of globally influenced dishes with a dedicated integrity to our local producers.
You may recognize Executive Chef, Anthony Marini as the winner of CNBC’s “Restaurant Startup” with Joe Bastianich & Tim Love. Chef Marini’s talents have been featured at the James Beard Foundation, in Bon Appetit Magazine, Wine Spectator Magazine, The New York Times and countless other notable publications. With roots in the Philadelphia region Anthony has finally landed in Collingswood and you can taste his food at Porch & Proper.
Porch and Proper sits in a 100-year-old building with historic charm. The space has been outfitted in rich walnut, warm leather, and crushed velvet. The porch is the perfect setting for outdoor dining; a lush private garden outfitted with herbs and flowers grown and used in many of our dishes.
Jason and Casey Simkins, owners of Porch and Proper, are long-time industry veterans. Both have tenured histories managing Philadelphia locations for Starr Restaurants (Buddakan, Morimoto, Parc, Alma de Cuba). Their appreciation for great food, service and a community vibrant with culture and energy is what ultimately brought Porch and Proper to Collingswood.
